Module 2 - OFA 1 Role Definition and the Six Core Behaviors

Step 1 of 5

Module Foundation

I.

MODULE PURPOSE

A.

Defining the OFA 1 Role

  • 1.This module defines what is expected of an OFA 1 and gives the learner a clear map of the core responsibilities this curriculum develops in later modules.
  • 2.An OFA 1 is not expected to own a workstream independently. The role is to contribute accurately, reliably, and professionally to work that is directed by a more senior OFA, supervisor, or mentor.
  • 3.This module helps the learner understand both the boundaries of the role and the real importance of the work they are being trusted to support.
B.

Mapping the Six Core Behaviors

It also gives the learner a clear map of the six core behaviors this curriculum builds in full depth over the modules that follow.

II.

MODULE LEARNING OUTCOMES

A.

Upon completion of this module, the learner will be able to:

  • 1.Describe the scope and boundaries of the OFA 1 role.
  • 2.Explain why working under guidance does not make the work less important.
  • 3.Name and briefly describe the six core OFA 1 behaviors.
  • 4.Identify the baseline artifacts an OFA 1 should be able to produce.
  • 5.Explain where each core behavior is developed in later modules.
